Our founders, in 2003, came from the modem and music production industries and set out to revolutionize audio communications through IP network-based innovative voice technologies and advanced digital audio products. Today, our solutions protect people and property, enhance commerce, and improve customer experiences at institutions worldwide—from schools and universities to major airports and military installations, to restaurants and retail chains, and even aboard the International Space Station.
Inventing the IP Intercom
Digital Acoustics created the world’s first TCP/IP intercoms designed specifically for security applications. Our inaugural installations at Hong Kong International Airport and the U.S. military’s Bagram Airbase in Afghanistan delivered mission-critical audio warnings over IP networks. These exclusively designed products pioneered the global transition from analog to IP intercom and speaker systems—a revolution we led from the beginning.
Leading the Industry Forward
Digital Acoustics engineered the industry’s smallest 2-gang IP intercom, followed by the first 2′ × 2′ lay-in IP speaker ceiling tile with two-way audio capability. Our engineering team then converged our advanced audio DSP intercom technology with IP speaker systems to create the IP7-FX—the industry’s first dual-purpose IP audio solution combining 25-watt speaker amplification with two-way intercom capability. Extended G.722 wideband audio delivers exceptional high-definition clarity.
